Doing what’s best for our animals and our land.

Our story

It all began in 2020 with just 20 hens as a small project and the craving to feed ourselves with nutritious, wholesome, and healthier food. Also, without having to sacrifice the beautiful landscape that surrounds us.

Our first 20 hens started out in the chicken house that originally came with the home. We noticed though that the ladies wouldn’t go to far and they would eat all the grass around them, and denuded the area close to their home. They obviously love the grass or they wouldn’t have eaten all of it. So how do we give them all the 40 acres of pasture?

With careful research and countless hours of trial and error, and some headaches. We found a way to move them around. That is when we started construction on our very own custom built egg-caddy. Of course we built it large enough so we’re able to house enough hens, that way we could share this amazing food with our local community.

But we didn’t stop there, we also wanted fresh meat! So we Went out and built new shelters for meat birds, that we also move around the pasture, and keep our animals clean and disease free. While putting just enough nitrogen back into the soil, for a better root system and thicker greener pasture for future generations.

And, as of this year we will be implementing sheep to our rotational grazing system so that way we may offer grass-fed/grass-finished, never wormed, or barned lamb.

We have come a long way from just a few dozen a week for the family supply. Now, being at several farmers markets in Colorado (Aspen, South Pearl St. Louisville). We have also featured our eggs at a local restaurant, and continue to have subscriptions to our products throughout the Denver Metro area all winter long.
